PREPARE YOUR SPACE
Learn more about preparing for your pool1. Solid, Level Ground
Ensure you have a completely level, solid surface for your Cowboy Pool and equipment, as your pool will weigh over 5,000 lbs when filled.
Self-Leveling Tip: Use a long level or a straight 2x4 with a level on top to check from all directions.
Important: Professional leveling is highly recommended. For local installations, any necessary leveling must be done before your install date to avoid a $200 fee. Remember, a concrete pad or a flat-looking yard may not be truly level. Always double-check your space with a long, flat 2x4 and level to ensure it's ready for your pool. 2. Clear Pathway for Delivery
Do you have a clear pathway, at least 2ft wide x 6-10ft tall (the diameter of your pool) for delivery? If not, can you make one before delivery? We roll the pools into your backyard on their side and we’ll need enough space on the side of your house to maneuver it.
3. Outdoor Electricity
The pool pump requires an outdoor GFCI 120v 15amp outlet within extension cord distance of your pool equipment. If you're planning on adding an upgraded heater, you will likely need to hire an electrician for a dedicated 240v outlet. See Electrical Requirements for detailed information.

OTHER POPULAR QUESTIONS
What is the lead time to receive a pool?
The lead time is an estimated time frame after you purchase your pool package to our first available time slot. Our lead times can vary depending on time of year, so check product pages for current lead times.
What is the delivery area?
We deliver our pre-assembled pools to yards nationwide! We also offer professional installation in Houston, Austin & San Antonio areas.
How do I get scheduled for installation or delivery?
Once you purchase a pool package online, you'll receive a follow up email with next steps. You can reach out to us if you have a reliable leveling/landscaping completion date, and we will do our best to schedule around that and get you on our schedule for our next available install or delivery date.
Do I need a pool permit?
In most cities you do not need a permit to install a stock tank pool but you will want to refer to your local building code and HOA rules to be sure.
Does the stock tank get too hot?
Any part of the steel tanks that are touching water will not get too hot to the touch in direct sun, though the top lip of the tanks can get hot in direct sun as water is not generally filled to the very top. You can use foam noodles you can place over the rim of your Cowboy Pool to add cushion and protection if this is a concern. We also suggest keeping the pool at least partially shaded. Put it under a tree or try umbrellas or an awning for shade.
